About Peter Bryant-Cooke

I’m a UKCP-accredited psychotherapist and EMDR UK-accredited practitioner, with an academic background in psychology, music, and business. Since 2020, I have specialised in delivering therapy online, working with people across the UK and internationally.

To date, I’ve delivered over 2,000 therapy sessions, supporting a wide range of clients navigating trauma, stress, or persistent emotional or physical symptoms. My clients have included single parents rebuilding after loss, professionals under pressure, people navigating relationship breakdown, and individuals exploring late-diagnosed neurodivergence. Some come after trying other therapies; others arrive not knowing where to start. What they share is a desire for things to feel different, and a readiness to begin.

My approach is collaborative and trauma-informed. I draw on EMDR, hypno-psychotherapy, parts work, and somatic techniques to help clients process what is stuck and move forward at a sustainable pace. Therapy with me is active, respectful, and built around your goals.

My outcome data suggests a strong recovery trajectory for many clients, particularly those engaging with trauma-focused EMDR.

If you’re looking for a supervisor who understands the realities of private practice, complex client presentations, and long-term trauma work, feel free to get in touch.

My Approach

My work is truly integrative. I draw from a wide range of therapeutic models including CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, psychosexual therapy and couples work, solution-focused approaches, and person-centred and humanistic models. This means therapy is always tailored to what works best for you, rather than constrained by one way of thinking.

Ready to work with someone who understands trauma deeply?

I offer a limited number of therapy spaces. I’ll always be honest if I’m not the right fit – and respectful of your time and trust.
