Hypno-psychotherapy integrates hypnotic techniques with evidence-based psychological approaches to support change at a deeper, often unconscious level. It is particularly well-suited for issues involving anxiety, trauma, chronic symptoms, and habit change, and is most effective when offered by a highly trained and accredited clinician.
As a UKCP-accredited psychotherapist with advanced qualifications in both clinical hypnotherapy and integrative psychotherapy, I offer this modality when it is appropriate, safe, and clearly indicated by clinical need. All work is tailored to the individual and grounded in a strong therapeutic relationship.
Hypno-psychotherapy is not about being “put under” or losing control. Instead, it uses focused attention and altered states of awareness to access underlying patterns, beliefs, or sensations that are often resistant to purely cognitive or behavioural interventions.
You remain aware and in control throughout, and suggestions are always agreed upon collaboratively. I may use language patterns, imagery, and guided internal experiences to help you process difficulties and unlock new resources.
Hypno-psychotherapy can be effective in addressing:
It is not suitable for everyone and will always be discussed openly before being used.
This work is always offered within the context of an ongoing therapeutic relationship, where your safety and agency are prioritised. I draw on integrative, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed frameworks, as well as relevant neuroscience and mind-body research.
Hypnosis is never used as a standalone “fix” but rather as a tool embedded within a thoughtful, ethical, and person-centred process.
Hypno-psychotherapy is only available following a full assessment and is not offered as a standalone service. If you’re interested in exploring whether this approach may be appropriate, please get in touch via the Contact page.
I personally respond to all enquiries. There’s no pressure, and everything is handled with care and complete confidentiality.
